A walk or playtime (waste clean up), feeding and fresh water, medication administered if needed, clean up litter box, TONS of love and affection. We realize that your pet will be missing you and we will do everything we can to give them the care and love that you would! (Complimentary services includes-getting mail, newspapers, watering plants, turning on and off lights and taking out garbage)

Colleen has lived in Oswego for 13 years. She lives with her husband of 24 years and two grown children. They have 4 dogs. She started doing pet care in 1998 and began grooming in 2002.
Colleen's Story
As far back as I can remember, I was obsessed with animals. If you ask me what some of my earliest memories of my life were, I would tell you that it was getting up early during the warmer months, getting on my tricycle and going on "missions" to find hurt or lost animals. They probably were not always lost or even hurt for that matter, but in my little mind they needed me and I needed them. I was probably just 3 or 4 years old at that time. My mother was always feeding sick birds with eye droppers!!! Even today, I am still making my husband stop the car just fast enough so I can jump out in the middle of traffic to save the dog in the street or even jumping out of the car and stopping traffic so that a mother deer and her fawns can cross the road safely. Not always a smart thing to do! What can I say, its just who I am and what my passion is.
As a child, I had a brother that was allergic to dogs so having a dog was not an option for us,...we only had one dog during my whole childhood. I dreamed of what it was like to have my own dog or cat and how he or she would be my best friend. So when my husband and I were first married, we could not wait to get our own dog, cat, bird or whatever else I could get my hands on, and I"ve had them all. When we got our first home with a fenced yard, we immediately got our first dog. I wanted our children to grow up with the loving pet that I couldn't have. Our first boy, Dakota who by the way, grew to a whopping 120 lbs was a gentle giant in fur! He taught me so much about unconditional love and what it was like to have something that loved you for you. He spent his entire life as our loyal companion and his life mission seemed to be to please us and protect us. His "sister" Nicky, a Sheltie came a couple years later. When Dakota's time came and he left this earth I thought I my heart would never be the same. I wasn't sure I could do it again. How could I go out and get another dog again? We did though, again and again and again.To date, we have had 5 dogs and I can assure you they will not be our last! I can not imagine living in a house without pets. Although two of our pets are in heaven now, they all occupy a huge place in my heart. As my real human children have grown up I have now filled the house with more dogs! Our animals are here for such a short time but during that time teach us so much about life, death and unconditional love.
So as I finish typing this with a Chihuahua sitting on me and two other big boys at my side, I can assure you that your animals will be my priority. I have been working with animals since 1998 and became a groomer in 2002. I will always continue to work with and learn about animals in anyway that I can. From being a pet care professional, to being a groomer, I have always felt that this was my calling and that in some way I HAD to work with animals. They continue to teach me new things everyday. I love animals, all animals, and feel so honored and blessed to be doing what I love the most. This business has been my dream most of my adult life. Stephanie and I are so lucky to be living our dream and we thank you for the opportunity to take care of your precious animals!
Loving and caring for animals has been such an important part of my life for so long. I cannot remember a time without them. In our home, we are blessed with the presence of 6 warm hearted fur babies. Three dogs and three cats to be exact! Ofcourse, I can't forget to mention that I am also a mom of a child without fur too, my adorable son Justin! It gets a little crazy in our house sometimes but we wouldn't have it any other way. I cannot imagine a world without pets in it. As a person who feels so strongly about adoption, I have rescued all 6 of our pets who live with us.I have a long history of rescuing animals. From stray dogs cats, and even wild animals...they ALL need us to be their advocates and to be their voice when they have none. They need people who will not give up on them. I have rescued 3 troubled German Shepherds and was able to provide them with a second chance at life after intensive training in a loving home.
Being a pet care professional has also been a life long dream for me. I get up in the morning knowing that I'm doing what I love. We hold our business at a higher standard and believe that we are the perfect people to care for you and your pets. Colleen and I look forward to serving you and your pets.

I just wanted to drop you a line and thank Nanny's 4 Pets for the "above and beyond" service they provided to my 3 dogs and cat while my family and I were on vacation. We were out of the country in Cancun, MX so for me to be able to call every day and check in was just not an option. But to my pleasant surpise at the end of each day I was lucky enough to have an email in my inbox updating me on how my pets were doing. We were very worried about leaving our Australian Shephard since she is shy and doesn't adjust well to change but she did wonderfully! The daily walks and "special time" you spent with them was so appreciated. I will definitely use Nanny's 4 Pets again for even just a day when we have a full schedule and feel guilty about not being home to attend to them. Thank you again, you are fantastic at what you do!!!
